People and notifications
Who can do what, and what the register sends them.
Access
- Full control: everything, including people and settings.
- Edits everything, deletes nothing: the everyday level for the team.
- Reads everything: for an owner or lender who wants to look.
- Own list only: a trade who should see just what is assigned to them.
Add a person under People & settings, choose the level, and press Send an invitation. They choose their own password. Standing somebody down removes their access and stops every message to them, and keeps their name on the history.
What the register sends
Each person gets one daily summary by email: the questions waiting on them, what they owe in the next seven days, and under a separate heading what changed around them since yesterday. News about a question, such as it being answered or their name being used, waits for that summary rather than interrupting.
What interrupts is what somebody promised: an action falling due, an escalation when something goes quiet, a meeting, and a weekly plan to write. An administrator can tick any kind of news back to being sent at once.
Text messages
Text messages are switched off on a new property, because they cost money to send. Everything they would carry goes by email instead. Ask if you want them switched on for your job.
Your own settings
Click your name at the top of any page to choose what reaches you, by email or text, and at what time your daily summary arrives. You can change your password there too. If you forget it, the sign-in page has a Forgotten it link that emails you a new one.
